Vikram Mehta
Being born and brought up in saddi dilli, have completed my entire schooling and graduation in saddi dilli itself. I was kind of never given an opportunity, or rather let me put it this way, I never really had a favorable combination of circumstances which would prove to be strong enough to push me outside the walled city for the purposes of either acquiring knowledge or to do that principal activity in your life that you do to earn money commonly known as a job.
Well all said and done, the fact is that I don’t really like to talk much about myself however, allow me to introduce myself as someone who can probably NOT give you a Wiki’s view about saddi dilli (our Delhi as is termed happily by fellow Delhiites), but can definitely give every possible insight on the country’s capital from a true dilli wala’s perspective.
Coming from a Punjabi family, I can be termed as a typical dilli wala (Delhiite), one who loves to travel in the city and around the NCR (National Capital Region) whenever there is an opportunity that is and spend maximum time, energy and money in exploring the so fabulous diners, the über cool malls, the never ending long drives, the 9to9 parties and at times just catching up and hanging around with friends.
Talking about my passions other than blogging about my favorite city, I love to travel, listen to music (which could be anything from raga to rock) and of course sports (kirkit – Cricket as is comfortably called in saddi dilli). Traveling plans to places within a 200 – 300 km radius or diameter (depending on which direction one wants to head) of saddi dilli though are made practically every week; the likelihood of such a plan materializing into actual travel happens once in six months only and that too if luck is on our side.
Other than the above, for the sake of bread and butter, I am a finance professional who is currently trying to increase his academic worth by studying into relevant higher education and also aspires to become a law graduate eventually in life.
